Details: this is a very nice example of a classic jaguar one of the better body styles through the years. ´in my opinion´ It is the longer vanden plas wheel base with the larger back doors I call it the limo style. it is in incredible shape for the year and miles inside and out and runs perfect no issues w/ the driving or starting etc. I use this car regularly but, I bought it as a favor for a friend that he would pay me for it later I have waited long enough as he has not been able to get his funds together so I am forced to sell it as I am not in the position to keep it and need to repay the loan I took to buy it. it has approx 154,000 mi on it but runs like brand new. everything seems to work fine aside from the electric tilt steering maybe just a switch but I was not inclined to spend any money on it since I did not intend to keep it ( aside from changing the oil of course) I have owned it and have been driving it regularly for approx 1 1/2 to 2 yrs and have had absolutly no issues with it and do not anticipate any to come. non smoker owned as far as I could tell including since I´ve had it (ash tray was clean and looked unused & no smells at all)the only things that I have found wrong is the digital clock is not always fully legible and the windshield is cracked at the bottom (out of obstruction view I hardly ever notice it) from side to side and will no longer crack any further, however I had a quote of $230.00 to replace the windshield and would be willing to negotiate the price accordingly and of course as I said the tilt steering switch? but all in all really a great car that has been nothing but dependable for me since I´ve had it. you can see the only wear in the uphostry in the picture on the back of the drivers seat lower left hand side but, is not torn through and maybe able to be cleaned to a degree. Details: This is a 1956 Jaguar Mark 1. The car is 100% complete and in great condition for restoring. I do have all the headlights, wheel caps etc... All engine parts are there, but the last time it ran was two year ago and was sitting since than so I am quite sure it needs a rebuild, or at least replacing the seals. Jaguar used the same straight 6 until the mid 80´s, so finding any replacement is actually very easy and inexpensive. The body is straight, no dents nor through rusts. The floorboards a bit rusty, but still no through rust there either. Seats are in ok shape, some tearing on the front passenger seat but it is fixable. The transmission is a 4 speed manual. The original color is white, will look beautiful once restored! I have seen this car selling for $30.000 some places and it is really rare to find specially in this good condition. Clean title, both title and registration are on my name, new WA collector´s license plate. Serious inquiries only. I already have too many cars so no trades please!
