Details: I have a very nice 2001 Jaguar XJ8L for sale. It is British Racing green in color with Camel Tan leather and burl wood interior. Only 77,100 miles on her. Firestone Firehawk GT BL P225/60R16 tires were installed on 04/04/2011 and have less than 7,000 miles on them. Interior is in great condition...no rips or tears anywhere and a new headliner installed last year. No glass damage or body damage...just the occasional paint chip from an 11 year old automobile. Title is clean.Now the bad news...the V8 4.0L engine experienced the fate of the terribly designed nylon secondary timing chain tensioner. The said tensioner tended to crack at about 60 to 70k miles (unbeknownst to me until after the fact) and when that happened on the highway the timing chain jumped a couple of notches and allowed pistons to meet valves. Engine was diagnosed with bent valves and most likely some other secondary damage in that area. I don´t have the time or skillset to drop a new engine in there so hopefully someone out there can use her for parts or replace the engine and have a nice new ride.
