The factory options that the car has is power everything including seats w/lumbar, leather, sun roof, auto wipers, auto lighting, as well as all of the normal jaguar luxuries. I have recently high speed buffed the paint, shampooed the carpets, replaced the headlights(they were dull), tinted the windows, & cleaned, sanded & painted the brake calipers. As far as mechanical service or repairs, I have replaced the following: SPARK PLUGS, OIL & FILTER, BRAKE FLUID, POWER STEERING FLUID W/JAGUAR ADDITIVE, DIFFERENTIAL FLUID, CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR, & FRONT BRAKES & ROTORS. The only service that I have not done is a transmission service. I would recommend it and can do it but the price will have to go to $7000.00. I´m only recommending it due too mileage. Being manufactured at the end of 1972, it was among one of the last ´Series 1´ XJ6 built, but one of the first with the extended wheelbase. Its body is in great condition with very few surface rust spots and absolutely no rust on the floorboards, frame or body. This car has been garage kept for the 25 years that it has been in my family as well as by the previous owner. All chrome is in very good shape. The paint is original and although it looks great from distance it certainly shows its age. Some minor body work on the hood and front right fender was started by its first owner and needs to be finished. (See photos)The engine runs great and the car has been driven only occasionally over the past 20 years to keep the engine in good working order. It does leak small amounts of oil but nothing more than you would expect for a Jaguar of its vintage. The carburetor was rebuilt a few years ago and the brakes replace at the same time. The left fuel tank need to be replaced although the right tank is fine.The interior has been nicely re-upholstered in black leather and also has a new headliner and carpet installed.New tiresWill email more photos upon request. I don´t want this beautiful classic to sit and ruin and I don´t have time to devote to it. I was starting it every weekend and driving it around the yard but I think there is a coil issue. It is far from perfect but still a rare car imported from the UK. It has had rust repair over the years and needs some body work and a little rust repair on the back quarters and new paint. It has fiberglass front quarters and chevy bullet hole rims that look much better than the factory wheels. I do have the factory jag hubcaps and a factory jag spare. The rest is original as far as I know. As it was a british car, it does not have a/c. The original straight six runs and borg warner transmission is strong. It has two SU HD8 carbs. I rebuilt one and the other needs a main jet as it drips some gas but the car was starting and running a few weeks ago. All glass and lights are good. Chrome is all there. It is road legal and I´ve driven it around the neighborhood and to the gas station some. This is a project car and needs trailering. I did trust it to go a few miles around the countryside but would not trust it in town without new hoses, belts and the carbs adjusted. I love old jags like this but it deserves more attention than I can give it. Clear SC title in hand. Bring a trailer and a thousand bucks and save this car.
