Details: This is a very rare XJ6 Coupe with a Ford V8 power plant and aod transmission. Car runs pretty good but tv valve is stuck in the valve body of the transmission so it runs in 1st and reverse right now. The valve needs to be unstuck and it should be fine. Red flake paint is OK but it does have a rust spots and bubbles where the vinyl top once was. The entire interior has been redone and looks really nice. This lumped cat would make a cool cruiser. I really like the car and don´t want to sell it but I need to let some cars go. Even with a ford drivetrain this car is worth some money and is not just another worn out low end XJ. It´s a Ford Hot Rod uderneath a rare british executive coupe. Bring a trailer and $3500 and take home a rare and collectible car. You are welcome to shoot me an email with an offer. Details: SAVE THIS CAR FROM THE CRUSHER. BRING A TRAILER AND 1K AND TAKE IT HOME. My series one ´71 Jag XJ6 right hand drive needs a new home. I was starting it every weekend and driving it around the yard but I think there is a coil issue. It is far from perfect but still a rare car imported from the UK. It has had rust repair over the years and needs some body work and a little rust repair on the back quarters and new paint. It has fiberglass front quarters and chevy bullet hole rims that look much better than the factory wheels. I do have the factory jag hubcaps and a factory jag spare. The rest is original as far as I know. As it was a british car, it does not have a/c. The original straight six runs and borg warner transmission is strong. It has two SU HD8 carbs. I rebuilt one and the other needs a main jet as it drips some gas but the car was starting and running a few weeks ago. All glass and lights are good. Chrome is all there. It is road legal and I´ve driven it around the neighborhood and to the gas station some. This is a project car and needs trailering. I did trust it to go a few miles around the countryside but would not trust it in town without new hoses, belts and the carbs adjusted. I love old jags like this but it deserves more attention than I can give it. Clear SC title in hand. Bring a trailer and $1000 and take it home.
