Details: My wife and I purchased this 1960 ´majestic lady´ in January of 2010 with the intent of restoring it to original, as much as our finances would allow. Most everything was in/on the car, including the entire original drive train. The engine only has approximately 36,300 miles on it. We were able to recover the original grill and a few other odds and ends that went to this car from another party. The back seat, front bumper, and right headlight ring are the only major items missing. We then purchased a 1956 MK VII to use for parts, but have decided to ´hot rod´ and customize it. Realizing that both cars would be a MAJOR undertaking and I can´t do both, we have reluctantly decided to sell the ´60. We had started taking things off of it, so some items that are shown in the photos are not on it now, but we do have them. I have decided to keep some of those items to use on the ´56, including all the wood from the inside. I can send other photos, too. Here is a basic idea of what the car has:BODY - Overall, the body is in good shape. Although it would take alot of hard work, it is definitely a restorable car, or can be parted out.ENGINE - Original 3.4 (I think), with approx. 36,300 original miles.DRIVE TRAIN - Complete, as far as I know.BUMPERS - Original back bumper. Details: I have 1996 Jaguar xj6. It only has 125k miles on it. It has tons of power and torque. It has power windows, seats, sun roof, locks, and memory settings for three users including the power tilt wheel setting. It does need some work. It has a check engine light on keeping it from smogging and a hum in the rear. Car drives great as is. I just do not have the money or time to diagnose and fix it. If you know how to work on these cars it might be just for you. A/C and heater work great and have auto hemostat settings. Transmission and engine are VERY strong. Details: Looking for trade offers (vehicles and big boy toys only, and either passed smog or smog exempt!) on my classic 1986 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas with CLEAN TITLE. These cars are becoming very collectable, if you look around Ebay and other car sites, you will see restored ones are listed for well over $10,000. The book value on this one in its current condition is around $4000-$4500 so I am looking for trades with a value of $3000-$4000. I will also give or accept cash to make up values if you have something i really like of higher or lower value.I will be as open and honest as I can so you know what it is and we don´t waste each others time. Email me through craigslist with any trades or questions but PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE EMAILING ME AS MOST OF THE INFORMATION IS HERE! (also please include a photo and detailed description of any trades)This is a nice daily driver with current smog cert and carfax on file. It has recently had a lot of dollars and hours put into it to get running nice and smooth. However it is 26 years old and is showing its age. If it was perfect then I would be asking $10,000 plus for it so if you are after a perfect car then keep looking. If, on the other hand, you want something interesting and different to drive around or a clean car to work on/restore then this is the car for you!These cars are amazing pieces of engineering for their time; it rides like a cloud and has all the power options of today´s European cars: Power everything, sunroof, full function trip computerThe interior is clean with no rips or staining, but it is 26 years old so the leather is hardening and starting to crack and the wood grain (real wood!) needs re-varnishing. The only two major issues are the roof lining is sagging and the centre console lid is worn. The exterior is not great, looks better in pics than it really is. The front left fender had an impact that was very roughly patched and painted by a previous owner: needs to be done again. There are small car park dents around it and the back passenger door as a golf ball size dent that was repaired and now the paint has cracked off again. There is also a crack across the bottom drivers side of the wind shield. Mechanically: It starts, runs, drives and stops very nicely. A pleasure to drive! Recent work: distributor, leads and plugs, Fuel pump, filter and pressure regulator, Ignition module, Vacuum system service which means it is running super nice! BUT it is a mid 80´s jag; if you don´t know what that means then do a little research and you will see that they ALL leak fluids, so does this one, doesn´t drip though, just keep an eye on things and top up every month or two as needed. There are a few maintenance things in the suspension that could be looked at but nothing that effects the running or the safety of the vehicle. I will be doing a coolant flush this week so that will be done too. But again, I am using this as my daily driver right now and it is a pleasure to drive.It has 108,000 miles on the clock but just ran the car fax today and found out it is actually close to 160,000. I have car fax available for anybody who is interested, there are no major issues, just the odometer and the front left fender impact. It has tags till July 2012 a recent smog and clean title.Something else to add, the colour is actually a metallic silver green not straight silver as the photos suggest.If you have any questions or are interested in a trade please email me through craigslist.
